We are looking for passionate, curious people to work at the intersection of atmospheric science, hydrology, and civil engineering
As a member of the group, you will help identify key research questions, run model simulations and data-driven analyses, and turn the results into findings that matter to both science and society.
Postdoctoral researchers
We are recruiting a postdoctoral researcher to join RHyCAM starting in January 2027. A detailed position announcement will be posted here when available. Interested candidates may contact Xiaodong with “[Application-Postdoc]” as the email subject line.
Graduate students
Prospective Ph.D. or Master’s students should email Xiaodong with a brief description of your research interests, and your CV (including undergraduate grades). Please use “[Application-PhD]” or “[Application-Master]” as the email subject line.
Applicants with external fellowships are especially welcome. Relevant opportunities include NSF GRFP, DOE SCGSR, and NASA FINESST.

Undergraduate research
OU undergraduates may have opportunities to work on short, independent research projects involving hydroclimate data and modeling.
Students interested in additional research experience are encouraged to explore DOE SULI (national laboratory internships) and NWC REU (summer research opportunities).
